Excellent properties of basalt
 
  1、 Outstanding mechanical properties
 
  Basalt fiber has higher tensile strength, elastic modulus and elongation at break than glass fiber, and has excellent wear resistance; The density is 2.65 ~ 3.00g/cm ³, The tensile strength is 3300 ~ 4840mpa, which is more than three times that of steel, and the weight is about one quarter of that of steel, which is equivalent to s glass fiber.
 
  2、 Excellent temperature resistance
 
  The service temperature range of basalt fiber is - 269 ℃ ~ 700 ℃ (softening point is 960 ℃), and the service temperature range of glass fiber is 60 ~ 450 ℃; When basalt fiber works at 400 ℃, the retention rate of fracture strength is ≥ 85%; When working at 600 ℃, the retention rate of breaking strength ≥ 80%;
 
  Basalt fibers pretreated at 780 ~ 820 ℃ can work at 860 ℃ without shrinkage; At this time, the strength retention rate of mineral wool with excellent temperature resistance is only 50% - 60%, glass wool is completely destroyed, the oxidation resistance of carbon fiber is poor, it has begun to crack slowly at 300 ℃, and the maximum service temperature of aramid fiber fails to exceed 250 ℃.
 
  3、 Good chemical stability, acid and alkali corrosion resistance
 
  Basaltic fiber contains k ν o, MgO and TiO ν, which significantly improves the chemical corrosion resistance and waterproof performance. The acidity coefficient of basalt fiber is 4.86, pH = 0.34, the acidity coefficient of E glass fiber is 2,97, pH = 0.43, which is better than that of glass fiber in chemical corrosion resistance; After boiling in 2mol / L NaOH solution for 3 hours, the mass loss fraction of basalt fiber is 00275, while that of E glass fiber is 0.06; After boiling the solution in 2moi / L HCl for 3 hours, they lost 0.022 and 0.389 respectively.
 
  4、 Good thermal shock resistance and stability
 
  Basalt fiber can be used in 500 ℃ thermal vibration environment for a long time, and its mass fraction loss is less than 0.02900 ℃, and the mass fraction loss is only 0.03.
 
  5、 Wave absorption and magnetic permeability
 
  Basalt fiber has excellent microwave absorption performance. After surface modification of magnetic materials, the microwave absorption performance can be further improved.
 
  6、 Excellent dielectric properties
 
  The volume resistivity of basalt fiber is greater than 1012 Ω· m, which is one order of magnitude higher than that of E glass fiber. The dielectric loss tangent of basalt fiber treated with special wetting agent is 50% lower than that of glass fiber, which can be used to manufacture new heat-resistant dielectric materials.
 
  7、 Sound absorption and heat insulation
 
  Basalt fiber has excellent sound absorption and sound insulation properties, and its low frequency absorption coefficient and peak absorption coefficient are all higher than those of traditional sound absorbing foam and preoxygenation wire.
 
  The thermal conductivity of basalt fiber is more than 20% lower than that of glass fiber, which is much lower than that of rock wool and other thermal insulation materials.
