  The strength of basalt fiber can be maintained for 1200h under the action of 70 ℃ water, while the strength of general glass fiber will lose less than 200H; The tensile strength can be increased by 30% at the temperature of 100 ~ 250 ℃, while the general glass fiber decreases by 23%. The single fiber drawing test shows that the adhesion between basalt fiber and epoxy polymer is higher than that of glass fiber, and will be further improved after being treated with silane coupling agent. Therefore, basalt fiber can replace the asbestos to be banned as the reinforcement of high temperature resistant structural composites, rubber technical products, etc., and can also be used to make the reinforcement of friction plates of brakes, clutches, etc.
